Dreams Create Health

The stay at home order still stands, but don’t let it rob your dreams.

When all this first started I would wake up every day wonder is today the last day… and now I wonder is this week the last week.  Disappointment, disappointment, disappointment.  Who really knows… God knows and I am going to keep standing on that.

Unrelenting disappointment leaves your heart sick, or hope deferred makes your heart sick; but dreams fulfilled (realized) is a tree of life.

So when I cannot adjust your spine and nervous system I want to give you the next best thing… a Brain Adjustment.  Take it or leave… you decide.

Deferred hope and disappointment releases stress hormones into your body and causes a whole barrage of physiological changes,it even turns off your immune system.  It creates an unhealthy version of yourself.  But a peaceful mind moves you in a healthy direction, it builds stronger cells, a stronger healthier you. This is what I want you to do….

  1. Disconnect from media, at least take a break.  You don’t need to be connected to it 24/7, every piece of negative news creates an emotion, that releases stress hormones into your body.  Simply give your brain, and your emotions a break.
  2. Get in a quiet place and dream, think about what you want your days to look like when the stay at home order is lifted.  What do you want to do, where do you want to go…. and get connected to the emotions that come along with it.
  3. Create one simple action step that you can do today that will move your closer to that dream.  Movement in the direction of your dreams is critical when there seems to be so much resistance.  Keep it simple, there is something you can do today.

Continuing on  Monday April 6th , 2020 we will be open for and ready to serve you in an EMERGENCY Capacity.  We will be temporarily modifying our clinic hours to comply with the current government recommendations, so that together we do our part to serve our “greater” community and win. As a temporary measure the Clinic Hours will be as follows:

Week: April 6 – April 9 2020

  • Monday April 6:  7:30 am-9:00 am, 3:30-5:00 pm Emergency Care
  • Thursday April 9 :  7:30am-9am, 3:30-5:00pm Emergency Care

For those that are struggling with acute pain and are in need of emergency care, the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the governing body that regulates my profession is permitting me to adjust those in pain or suffering as follows:

  1. Sudden and debilitating change in functional abilities (understood as walking, standing, sitting, lifting floor-to-waist or waist-to-shoulder, stair climbing, ladder climbing)
  2. Significant restrictions in movement (experienced during bending/twisting, repetitive         movement, pushing/pulling with right/left arm)
  3. Injury to head/neck/back and extremities
  4. Some patients in chiropractic care have some form of ongoing pain (chronic pain) and seek regular treatment to manage their condition and to prevent a flare-up or augmentation of their symptoms. (In the professional judgement of qualified, skilled and compassionate practitioners these patients can be considered as emergency/acute cases).

Treatment aimed at alleviating significant pain, understood as pain that is incapacitating for the patient and interferes with their ability to carry out normal functioning.

If you consider your present situation to be an emergency and fulfil the above conditions, we would ask that you call and leave a message on our voice mail at 613-823-8466 as well as email us at: drp.evolation@gmail.com

We will be retrieving these messages regularly, to make sure you get the service you need.

Your health and safety are of utmost importance to me, and no matter how remote the chances are of coming into contact with Coronavirus through our office space I want to eliminate that possibility, and so we have taken these extensive measures to accomplish this task.

I sincerely apologize for the disruption in your care but we will re-open the office as soon as the current restrictions are lifted and our College recommends resuming normal practice activities.

Love you guys,

Dr Penney
